Minamikushiyama Tanabata / Kunisaki Peninsula / Mt.
The Minamikushiyama Tanabata Observatory is located on the Shimabara Peninsula in Unzen City, Nagasaki Prefecture. It offers a view of the terraced fields in the Henki and Kotakegi areas, which have been selected as one of the "10 Best Dandan Fields in Nagasaki Prefecture.
From January to March, the surface of the terraced fields is covered with plastic film, providing a different view of the fields than usual. The Minamikushiyama Tanahata Observatory, located on top of a hill, offers a spectacular view of the tanahata as well as the Kunisaki Peninsula and Mount Unzen. |

The drone will take off from the Minamikushiyama Tanabata Observatory. From the observatory on top of the hill, visitors can enjoy a view of the sea and the tanabata fields.
In front of you is Tachibana Bay, and Nagasaki City is located on the opposite shore. The slopes are filled with terraced fields, numbering approximately 800 pieces. The various shapes of the terraced fields are remarkable. This view has been selected as one of the "Ten Best Dandan Fields in Nagasaki Prefecture. After turning around, the Kunisaki Peninsula can be seen in the distance. The Kunisaki Peninsula is also lined with terraced fields in every corner. Mt. Unzen can be seen in the back. |
