Takasaki Daiba Site / Awaji Hashidate / Narukejima Island
Narugashima, where Takasaki Daiba is located, is an island southeast of Awaji Island in Hyogo Prefecture. The island itself is uninhabited and can be reached by boat. Takasaki Daiba was a gun emplacement built in 1854, and was used after the Meiji era as Yura Fortress until the end of the Pacific War.
Awaji Hashidate, which leads to the ruins of Takasaki Daiba, is home to a colony of the rare seaside plant Hamabo, and many other rare plants. It is also a spawning ground for loggerhead turtles and red-clawed crabs. About 500 species of shellfish inhabit the area. Narigashima Island, which is also part of the Seto Inland Sea National Park, is an island where visitors can enjoy nature and history. |

The drone will take off from the vicinity of Namikiri Fudo Myoo and head for the Takasaki Daiba site. The site of the Takasaki Daiba Ruins is located on an island called Narigashima. It is located at the southern tip of a sandbar stretching from north to south, and the lighthouse at the tip is Takasaki Lighthouse. It was built on the site of the Takasaki Battery.
Passing through Awaji-hashidate, head toward Narigashima. The very long sandbar is about 3 km long and is called Awaji Hashidate because of its similarity to Amanohashidate. The stone wall that seems to protect the island is a remnant of its use as a fortress. |
